Melody Noel is an artist and songwriter currently signed to Imagem Music Publishing USA (MIA, Ludacris, Swizz Beats). Mariachi music has run in Melody's family for the last 125 years so her passion for music is only natural. Though she has been singing since she was 5, she began her writing career in high school as a member of pop girl group "Runway MMC". As an integral member of this group, Melody was introduced to the fashion business (the "melody line" appeared fall 2008 in 200 Wet Seal stores nationwide), as well as the business of recorded music.
Melody Kick started her solo career in 2011, lending her craft to more acoustic genres by drawing inspiration from artists such as Carole King, Brian Wilson, Doris Day, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holliday and Alicia Keys. After her first release as a solo artist, she was picked up by Imagem Music Publishing as a writer. For the past 2 years she has been writing for other artists, commercials, TV and film all while being at the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts.
The last few months she has been working on her latest release as an artist with Grammy nominated producer Joe Mardin (Aretha Franklin, Norah Jones, Chaka Kahn) and Latin Grammy winner Adrian Pieragostino. She plans on releasing this project in both Spanish and English, Fall 2014.
